This is a single formula fractal. I have thenplaced one of my background image behind it to give the surround. I have also used one of my photos of anold wooden door as the dmap image.
The CommaIFS parameter has given a look of a childs spinning top to me. View LARGE please
its actually rather easy... if you open the animate window, you have a series of frmaes, with subfrmaes (my advice to everyone is use a low number of subframes unless you have a really good machine)
open the Navi and get a good view for the first frame, and click the view to ani button ion navi, change whatever it is you want to change, can be the PoV, can be tweaking variables, can even be a combo of the two, when you get the next view you want for the net frame, click thew view to ani button again (I might have the name of the button wrong, but its there in optional bottom pane of the navi window if you open that)
just keep tweaking and hitting the view to ani button until you have all the frames... then you can generate a preview in the animation window and save that, it will be a small sized preview animation. Once you feel satified with the preview, hit the button to render all frames and it will sit and crank them out.
(more advice, use a small size, say 500 X 500 to make it render more quickly, coupled with a low sub frame count like 3, I can even render a 100 frame animation on my old crappy box in a few hours)
Once it has rendered all the frames, use a program like Animation Shop to make an animated GIF, or there is a anime png maker you can download free online to make animated PNG (IE will not display animated PNGs, and chrome needs a plug-in, firefox and Opera will display them as is)
I know it sounds a bit complicated, but I figured it out without any tutorials or anything... if you look at the animation window and the lower pane of the Navi, you'll probably see how it works.
Thanks for all this Charles, will have to have a look at it when got time and my desk top PC is free (trying a 24 hour render on it at present and its a 6 core PC)
