I've been trying to get a decent image with reflections in MDB and finally got this today, which I am rather happy with :D

You will need to view large size to see the reflections at their best, but this is about 2/3 size of what I rendered.

I have used PS curves to darken the colours slightly.

Formulas used: PSphereIFS, hextgridIFS and sphereIFS

Thanks for any favs and especially comments. :iconccwelcomedplz1::iconccwelcomedplz2:

Please remember this is my art work and it is not to be copied in any way on DA, any other site or for personal use. Thanks

The reflections are very impressive indeed, as well as the spotlight effect. It has just the right intensity for not killing the eyes. Very good overall balance!
PS: I find PS's curves a bit tricky, and usually work with selective colour correction for all around use. Got very used to it. Funny thing is that I recently began designing with Apo 7x, and found myself quite comfortable with curves. Results weren't the desired ones, but that depends on what you are trying to create. Should get back to PS's curves and give them another try. :)

Thanks for the positive comments Sergio.

Curves can give some very good or if you go a little too far, some terrible results. But they are good for tweaking the highlights and shadows together

Always a pleasure! :)
You are right about the curves. Since I work with real world images, had some headaches with them. But for artistic purposes, should really try what they can do on postwork editing.
